Things we can take

We take all types of non-hazardous junk and bulky waste, from furniture, bric-a-brac and electrical appliances to garden refuse, DIY and builder’s waste.

Things we cannot take

However, for health & safety and regulatory reasons, we regret that our crews cannot remove any of the following.

  • Asbestos

  • Biological or Medical waste

  • ‘Box’ TVs / monitors (ie. CRTs) – but flat screen TVs/monitors are OK!

  • Gas bottles or Fire extinguishers

  • Oil, petrol or diesel

  • Paint or paint cans (unless empty)

  • Raw meat or raw fish (unless packaged)

  • Toxic substances, noxious chemicals & solvents

  • Domestic refuse (unless bagged)

  • Tyres (Car, Truck, Lorry, Tractor)

  • Car batteries

  • Pianos or any other items that cannot be lifted safely by two people

  • Commercial fridges, chiller cabinets, freezers or a/c units

Skip Hire is more expensive than using a Man & Van

Used by thousands of householders and organisations as a low cost, simple alternative to skip hire, AnyJunk is the UK’s largest man & van waste clearance company.  For an instant quote and to book online, just enter your postcode above and press the red button.

Our prices are usually a lot cheaper than hiring a skip and we do all the loading for you, including a thorough sweep up before we go.  We also offer next day or same day response.  Unlike skip hire, there’s no need (or extra cost) to arrange a skip permit or controlled parking suspension.  You can even book a 1 hour arrival window to save time hanging around.

Our teams will take all types of non-hazardous waste provided it can be lifted safely by 2 men and we can collect the junk from anywhere inside or outside your property. Note: if your waste is mainly very heavy material like soil and rubble, hiring a skip (even though it’s more hassle) probably makes sense.  To find out more about skip hire, including checking prices and to book online, please go to our skip hire sister site, Loveskips.

What Our Customers Think

Good value, fast & helpful on the day. They removed lots of broken up building rubbish & didn't leave any mess - recommended!

No messing, no stress, no fuss - fantastic service. Skip hire was more expensive & I would have had to clear it myself!

Just had 160kg of junk removed from my flat, big thanks to @anyjunk - your guys were awesome

Skip hire guidance and when to hire a skip

Even though AnyJunk is a man & van rubbish removal specialist – we know that sometimes it makes sense to hire a skip.  Skips are ideal for getting rid of large amounts of heavy, loose waste like rubble and soil.  The skip contains the waste and prevents it from covering your lovely drive or garden.  But they are expensive and you need a decent amount of space outside your property to place them.  Plus, if you have to put them on your road, then you will need a skip permit from your local council and possibly also a controlled parking zone suspension – which cost money and take time to organise.

We have a sister skip hire business called Loveskips where you can check prices for your region and also book online.  So if you think a skip might be what you require – feel free to check them out before booking with us.

For further information about how and when to hire a skip, read our skip hire guide for top tips and useful advice.   We also have a page that explains all about what a skip permit (often referred to as a skip license) is and how you organise these withe council.
