London Skip Permits & Parking Suspensions can add more than £200 to the price of Skip Hire
Place a skip on the road or pavement in London and you’ll need a skip permit from your local council. Plus, if it’s in a controlled parking zone such as a pay & display bay, residential permit area, or single/double yellow lines, a parking suspension. These take time to arrange and cost money. In some London boroughs a permit and a parking suspension can add more than £200 a day to the basic cost of hiring the skip!
The table below shows the minimum charges for skip permits and parking suspensions across London councils.
|Council||Skip permit||Parking suspension|
|Barking & Dagenham||£30.00||£35.85|
|City of Westminster||£78.00||£35.85|
|Hammersmith & Fulham||£61.00||£35.85|
|Kensington & Chelsea||£81.00||£35.85|
|Kingston upon Thames||£60.00||£35.85|
|Richmond upon Thames||£50.00||£35.85|
Note that putting skip on a red route requires a special highways licence from Transport for London.
It normally takes at least a few days to arrange a skip permit or parking bay suspension so if your waste needs to be removed urgently, save yourself the hassle and the extra money by using our man & van rubbish clearance service instead.
