Our service covers two people loading materials from anywhere on the premises, a thorough sweep-up, and all disposal and recycling fees. Below are our standard rates for rubbish clearance in Southampton and the surrounding areas. Discounted rates and credit terms are available for regular trade customers. Rates based on amount of junk removed

Our rates depend on the type and amount of junk removed. For most junk we charge by volume (ie. how much the truck is filled), but for very heavy waste like rubble and soil, we charge by weight.

£18 Premises Code fee – to register premises with Environment Agency (0870 850 6506) for haz waste >500kg

Volume rates for light & medium weight junk

Household and office junk typically weighs less per cubic yard than refurbishment, kitchen ripout & DIY waste, so we charge less to remove it. Occasionally a home or office clearance comprises lots of very dense materials (eg. broken down furniture, old marketing materials in boxes), so we charge it as ‘Medium’. As a rough guide Light Junk weighs 50-80kg per cubic yard and Medium Junk weighs around 90-130kg per cubic yard.

5% off for fast loads

Our rates include a generous Labour Allowance for two people to load the truck and sweep-up fully before they go. A fast loading 5% discount applies for all jobs completed in less than ½ the allotted Labour Allowance. Helping our team to load and/or leaving all your junk neatly stacked outside the front of the property, helps reduce loading times significantly and increases your chance of a Fast Load discount. Please note that if your clearance takes more than the Labour Allowance, you will be charged an Extra Labour fee for every 5 minutes over the allocated time.

5% off for recyclables or reusables

To reflect our lower disposal costs, any Light or Medium weight load comprising a single material type that is recyclable (eg. paper & card, metal, green waste, wood) or mostly clean, reusable furniture will benefit from a 5% discount. Further discounts may apply for regular and/or large collections of purely recyclable or reusable materials.

Weight rates for heavy junk

We charge by weight for very dense materials like rubble, soil and inert waste. As a rough guide this type of waste weighs 250-750kg per cubic yard. Our rates vary depending on whether the waste is ‘Clean’ (i.e. not mixed with other materials) or ‘Dirty’ ((ie. mixed up with plastic, wood, metal etc) to reflect the higher cost of disposal for Dirty heavy waste. Clean heavy can be recycled much more easily and so costs much less to dispose of per tonne. To minimise the cost of your clearance and qualify for ‘Clean’ rates, please take the time to separate your Heavy waste from other types of junk that you are disposing of.

Cancellation Fee

If you need to cancel or postpone your booking, please let us know as early as possible. No charge applies if you give us at least 24 hours notice. Otherwise a £20 fee will be charged which we deduct from any subsequent collection charges.
